Reliable for my skincare

This was my third order from Protocol, and I keep coming back for the Enzyme-Active Retinal Serum. It's really consistent and I've seen good results with my fine lines over time. This time I also added the Hyaluronic Acid Serum, which pairs well. Delivery was as expected, took about 6 days to reach me in California, same as my last few orders. Packaging is always secure. I appreciate that their formulations are stable; I never worry about the product losing potency before I finish it. It's become my go-to for retinal, especially since I know what to expect with shipping times and product quality.

Good products, shipping was slow

I ordered the Vitamin C Superserum and the AHA Exfoliating Cleanser after seeing some reviews. The products themselves seem really good; the Vitamin C serum feels nice on my skin and the cleanser isn't too harsh. I've used them for about two weeks now and my skin does look a bit brighter. My main issue was with shipping. It took 8 days to get to me in Florida, which felt a bit long for a domestic order. Customer service was polite when I inquired, but they didn't really speed things up. Overall, decent value for the quality, just wish the delivery was quicker.

Easy to order, nice set

I grabbed The Protocol Set to try a few things. Website was super easy to use, no fuss at all. Got my package in about 5 days, which was fine. Everything was packed well. I'm really liking the Retinal Serum so far, feels good on my skin. Nothing complicated, just a smooth shopping experience.

Quick question on shipping. If I order to like, Portland, Oregon, how long does it usually take to get here? Trying to time it with my current stuff running out.

L Leah Hall 1 week ago
Mine usually takes about 5-7 days to the West Coast. Not super fast but not horrible either.

Yeah, I'm in Seattle and it's usually less than a week for me. They ship pretty consistently.

So, I'm eyeing their Vitamin C serum, but I've had issues with other brands' vitamin C oxidizing super fast. How do you guys store Protocol's, and does it actually stay good for a while?

N Nancy Gomez 1 day ago
I just keep mine in the box in a cool, dark drawer and it's been fine. Haven't had any oxidation issues like I did with some other brands.

Mine lives in the fridge, seems to keep it stable for ages. They do stabilize it pretty well though, so even room temp in a cabinet should be okay I think, as long as it's not in direct sun.

Hey, thinking about trying Protocol, specifically their retinal. Is it actually much better than like, The Ordinary's stuff or Paula's Choice? Or is it mostly hype?

O Olivia Allen 5 days ago
I've used both The Ordinary and Paula's Choice retinal before, and Protocol's felt way more effective for me, less irritation too. Pricey, but I think it's worth it.

Honestly, I didn't notice a *huge* difference compared to Paula's Choice clinical retinal, but my skin is super sensitive and Protocol's was definitely gentler. So YMMV.

Can you use more than one discount code at a time? Like, if I sign up for the newsletter and get 10% off, can I also use a holiday sale code on top of that?

J Julia G. 1 day ago
Nah, pretty sure you can only use one code per order. Tried stacking once and it didn't work.

R Richard Flores 1 day ago
Yeah, they're usually pretty strict about one code at checkout. Most places are, though.

Hey, what's their return policy like? Bought a serum once from another brand and it broke me out bad, but returns were a nightmare. Just wanna know before I commit to Protocol.

S Sofia T. 1 month ago
I returned a serum once because it just wasn't for me, and it was super easy. Just filled out a form online and got a label, no fuss.

Yeah returns were easy, did it last month. Just make sure you do it within their window.
